The 4 Goals of "No Person Left Behind" are:
- 100% accountability of all seniors and persons with disabilities.
- Identify basic needs for seniors and persons with disabilities.
- Educate seniors and persons with disabilities and families on
disaster preparedness.
- Empower seniors and persons with disabilities to take control
of their disaster planning.
How is this accomplished?
- By seniors and persons with disabilities voluntary registering with your local EOC.
- By seniors and persons with disabilities identifying there basis needs.
- By sending FEMA and other Education material to
seniors and persons with disabilities and families on disaster preparedness.
- Then by Empowering seniors and persons with disabilities to take control
of their disaster action plan.
How are other organizations involved?
- By helping to account for seniors and persons with disabilities sheltering at home.
- By helping to identify basic needs of seniors and persons with disabilities.
- By handing out Disaster Education materiel to Educate seniors and persons with disabilities and families on disaster preparedness.
- By helping to Empower seniors and persons with disabilities to take control
of their disaster action plan.
- By helping those with shutters install and remove and checking on
these seniors and persons with disabilities before and after a storm and advising
emergency services incases of those who have urgent or life threatening
needs upon there arrival.
Who can volunteer to help seniors and persons with disabilities and this program?
- Individuals
- Seniors and persons with disabilities
- Local non-profit organizations and agencies
- Local City, Town and Government entities
- Any business who wants to donate time and services to help
seniors and persons with disabilities
- State agencies, and other entities that fall under the state
- Federal agencies and national non-profit organizations
What we do not provide.
- We do not provide transportation
- We do not provide shelters

This program does not supersede the local EOC’s “Special Needs Programs” but rather enhances it when used in conjunction. If you require special needs at a shelter, please also register with your local EOC and their special needs programs. Lee County as well as other EOC’s accepts no responsibility for services offered, or claims made by “No Person Left Behind”.
